jpegChileheads worldwide trek to the National Fiery Foods & BBQ Show each year for the latest and greatest developments in the worlds of spice, fire, and smoke. Here’s what’s new at the 27th annual show, this March 6-8 at the Sandia Resort and Casino:

Indoor Cooking Demonstrations. We have moved the Guest Chef Cooking Demos from an outdoor tent to the much more luxurious Eagle Meeting Rooms A&B, where we have a large projection screen. This area is on the east side of the show where the two lobbies meet, adjacent to the Rotunda area. It will also double as a lounge area for all public attendees at the show, with table rounds and plenty of chairs so guests can take a break. The Guest Chef Cooking Demos are sponsored by Garden Fresh Gourmet. The cooking demo schedule is posted here.

Exhibitor Lounge, Store, and Meeting Rooms. Next to the Cooking Demo room, we’ll now have a lounge where exhibitors can relax, have meetings, or buy what they need for their booth at the show.

Craft Beer Tastings. Premier Distributing will sponsor tastings of the craft beers from smaller breweries they own on the stage in the main show hall. New this year is a tequila-flavored Mexican beer, Oculto, with a “Day of the Dead” packaging theme.

Chile the Kid

Our new show mascot, Chile the Kid

New Show Mascot. We are introducing Chile the Kid as our new show mascot, and he will be hanging out in the front lobby to meet everyone!
