Oh, happy day! Finally, an event that fulfills my dream of eating ribs while riding a motorcycle…almost. From March 25 to October 1, 2011 competition ‘cue in Georgia means eating the smoky goodness instead of making it. Smoke Chasing is a self-paced BBQ Grand Tour, combining riding and BBQ while supporting a great cause: Eddie’s Road, a charitable foundation helping abused and neglected youth. Smoke Chasing is open to all makes and models of motorcycle and all types of riders. You need only hop on your bike, go for a ride, OD on barbecue, and document where you eat in your Smoke Chasing passport book (included in the competition entry fee). Finishers will receive a certificate and a chance to win one of at least nine prizes, including gas cards, motorcycle gear, and more. Registration for Smoke Chasing is currently underway and will continue through July 31st. Please visit www.smokechasing.com and www.eddiesroad.org for more information.
