Wayne Algenio ate 119 grams of Carolina Reaper peppers at the New York Hot Sauce Expo. I don’t know how much money his colon owes him, but it must be a lot for Wayne to put that sort of savage beating on it. Did his lower GI borrow money from him for its mom’s operation or something?

If you’ve run into CaJohn Hard on the hot sauce show circuit, you know he’s partnered up with Amber Button for the AmberFyre product line. I’ve really liked what’s come out of that team up so far, especially the black cherry bourbon barbecue sauce. That said, Amber herself was an unknown to me.
