I was in Las Cruces Friday for a meeting of the board of the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum and I stopped the Fabian Garcia Science Center on University Avenue just west of Main Street to view the Chile Pepper Institute’s Demonstration Garden. This year they are growing out more than 150 varieties from 34 countries! Below is a gallery that will give everyone an idea of how spectacular it is, despite the slightly crooked sign–or maybe my camera angle. The garden had been flood irrigated the previous day, so it was too muddy to walk into it and get shots of more varieties.
